T.I. and wife, Tiny under investigation for sexual assault
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating rapper Clifford Joseph Harris Jr, better known by his stage names T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris. This is following charges that T.I. and his wife Harris drugged and sexually abused a woman.
The investigation started when a woman identified as Jane Doe filed a police report. According to a police report filed last month, the woman claimed she was sexually abused and drugged by the couple in 2005.
The woman’s allegations were made public in March. According to reports, the victim says she became ill after drinking Tiny’s tequila drink at a hotel before engaging in inappropriate sexual activities with the pair.
The woman told police she told T.I. “no” when all three were naked on the hotel bed. However, she said she then became ill in the bathroom.
T.I. and Tiny have been accused of a series of suspected crimes, including drugging, abduction, and rape, by a number of women. The couple has categorically denied the allegations. In March, their lawyer referred to the allegations as a “shakedown.”
Similar allegations in the past
Tiny and T.I. first met in 2001. Tiny was already a well-known singer who rose to prominence with the R&B group Xscape. T.I. was a rising rapper at the time. Tiny was 26 and T.I. was 21 years old.
In 2010, they married in a lavish Miami wedding, and everything seemed to be well. However, rumours of T.I.’s infidelity plagued their relationship. The couple discussed what went wrong in their marriage on Red Table Talk.
T.I. was raised in a traditional family, believing that the man could lead financially while the woman looked after the house. Tiny postponed her return to full-time singing to appease her husband. She even stood by his side through two lengthy prison terms.
T.I. and Tiny both had children from previous relationships before they started dating. Tiny had a daughter named Zonnique, whom T.I raised as his own while he had a son named Damani. Before he married Tiny, he had two other children, a son and a daughter.
T.I. and Tiny have three children together. When their daughter died, it was a terrible loss for them. The couple overcame their challenges and raised their mixed family of seven children together.
