
Alex Ekubo, a Nollywood actor, has been buried in his hometown of Aziukwubwo Ujori village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
The 40-year-old was buried after a night of tributes was held in honour of the late actor.
Emotional clips that surfaced on social media on Thursday from the funeral in Arochukwu, Abia State, show moments from the funeral ceremony in Onitsha, where friends and family members could not hold back tears as they bid farewell to the late thespian.

The venue was surrounded by dignitaries, including Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo and billionaire businessman Obi Cubana, who was also present at the funeral.
The funeral service took place at Mary Slessor School, Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu, before his interment at the family compound. Family members, friends and colleagues from the entertainment industry attended the ceremony.

Alexx died on May 11 at the age of 40 after battling advanced metastatic kidney cancer, according to his family.
Born Alex Ekubo-Okwaraeke, he rose to fame after emerging first runner-up at the 2010 Mr Nigeria competition and went on to build a successful acting career. He featured in several popular films, including Weekend Getaway, The Bling Lagosians, A Sunday Affair and Omo Ghetto: The Saga.
