Fans of the most-watched Nigerian reality show Big Brother Naija are yet to move on from the voluntary exit of contestant and former head of the house Neche.
On Sunday, August 16, Neche, whose real name is Chinaecherem Maduagwu, surprisingly took a voluntary exit from the show. The announcement stunned both her fellow contestants and viewers at home.

Several of her fellow contestants claimed that it was a ploy, as ‘false eliminations’ have taken place in previous editions; however, organizers of the most-watched Nigerian reality show have since released a statement to distance themselves from the fledgling conundrum, stating that the reason for Neche’s departure is personal.
Following the statement from BBNaija organizers, Neche released a statement on her social media page to address her fans and viewers across the globe.
She mentioned that the decision to leave the show wasn’t easy; however, it is a necessity that she steps away from the show to attend to something more urgent.

Also, in the official statement seen by eelive.ng on Tuesday, Neche described her exit as unexpected, noting that she entered the Big Brother Naija house with the ambition of going all the way in the competition.
