Trolling on social media is like terrorism – 2baba

Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, better known as Tuface or 2baba, has shared a message addressing trolls and social media critics

He said this during an interview on the Afrobeats Podcast with Adesope.

He spoke about the harsh nature of comments on social media platforms, describing them as hurtful.

Tuface acknowledged that he is aware of the things people say about him and his family online, comparing online trolling to acts of terrorism on innocent people.

Tuface pointed out that he often receives negative comments and trolling on social media, and he expressed how these comments can be painful.

He likened some social media users’ behavior to acts of terrorism targeting innocent individuals.

He said,

“It’s just like terrorists bombing innocent people.”

The singer, who is a father of seven, also highlighted the discrepancy between the negative comments people make about his family and their lack of support in real-life situations.

He mentioned that despite all the criticism, none of these critics have ever stepped forward to assist him in paying his children’s school fees.

Tuface stressed that people often judge his parenting without understanding the full context and challenges, stating, “Many people talk about kids, fatherhood, motherhood, all that whole circle.

Many people talk about it with public opinion type of thinking. But it’s deeper than that.

There’s nobody that has the exact blueprint for this thing.”

Tuface went on to explain that his relationship with his children is unique and special.

He revealed that he communicates with them as peers and encourages them to express their thoughts freely.

He concluded by urging parents to establish genuine connections with their children.

The interview on the Afrobeats Podcast provided Tuface with an opportunity to address the issue of online trolling and share his perspective on parenting and family matters.
