
Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham’s directorial debut, “Oversabi Aunty,” has shattered records as the first Nigerian film by a debut director to hit ₦1 billion at the box office.
The comedy-drama, which hit cinemas in December 2025, has been a massive hit as the actress shares the achievement on her Instagram page.


Toyin Abraham expressed her gratitude to fans, saying, “Thank you Toyintitans, thank you Nigerians, thank you my casts, thank you my crew, thank you Filmone, thank you everyone. I’m short of words. Oversabi Aunty to the world and still showing in cinemas near you. My first directorial debut on big screen.”
The film tells the story of a well-meaning but overly involved aunty, played by Toyin Abraham, whose attempts to solve everyone’s problems lead to hilarious misunderstandings and heartwarming revelations. The movie features an all-star cast, including Mike Ezuruonye, Efe Irele, and Enioluwa Adeoluwa.

“Oversabi Aunty” has become the highest-grossing film in Toyin Abraham Productions and one of the top two highest-grossing titles of 2025.
