Wande Coal is love of my life – Wizkid

Wizkid, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, has referred to ace musician Wande Coal as the “love of my life.”

On Tuesday, the 33-year-old shared a photo of himself and the ‘Kpe Paso’ hitmaker at an event on his Instagram story.

“Love of my life,” Wizkid captioned one of the photos.

However, the singer did not provide context for his post.

The duo had previously collaborated on ‘Ololufe,’ the first track from Wizkid’s recently released extended play (EP), Soundman 2.

Wande Coal was described by the singer as one of his earliest mentors during the early stages of his music career.

During a performance at his Starboy Live Concert in 2021, the ‘Ojuelegba’ hitmaker also revealed another personal truth about his relationship with Wande Coal.

He expressed gratitude to the singer while revealing that Wande Coal had housed him “when I had nowhere to go.”

“I remember when I made my first singles — Holla at Your Boy, Tease Me, Don’t Dull — Wande Coal was always there for me. He let me sleep in his room when I had nowhere to go. I just want to say a big thank you to that guy,” the singer said.

Wizkid and Wande Coal are two of the biggest names in African music, with a massive fan base, numerous awards, and honorary mentions.
