Watch ‘Berna Reloaded’: Flavour teams up with Fally Ipupa, Diamond Platnumz
In a new song titled Berna Reloaded, Flavour teams up with Congolese award-winning singer Fally Ipupa and Tanzanian King of Bongo Flava, Diamond Platnumz. The singer also released the video, which you can watch below.
Berna Reloaded is a remix of one of the tracks from the widely-loved Flavour of Africa album. The song takes listeners on a waist-shaking trip to Congo, Tanzania, and back to Nigeria. It is his first release this year.
The song combines High life, Afropop, and Soukous genres to make a melodious and internationally recognisable African sound. The trio did justice to the song by delivering an up-tempo party banger to complement a remarkable fusion of African melody.
In Berna Reloaded, Flavour encourages you to shake off shyness and show people what your waist can do. He sings: “Berna baby see as you fine oo. Na only monkey go say you no fine. Dance for mummy and dada. Don’t be shy to show brother wetin your waist can cause.”
Speaking about the song, FLavour said: “Berna Reloaded fuses the sounds of West, Central, and East Africa to create a unique African sound just in time for summer!”
Produced by Masterkraft, Berna is a danceable Makossa-inspired track filled with lovely soul-reviving melody. The colourful video was directed by Dammy Twitch. He shot and directed it in Nigeria, Congo, and Tanzania.
The singer initially released Flavour of Africa in late 2020. The 15-track album features Fally Ipupa, Tekno, Odumeje, Phyno, Biggie Igba, Beenie Man, Waga G, and Larry Gaga. It also has the guest appearance of Odumeje – The Liquid Metal (Lion) Indaboski.
Flavour has been on the radar as one of highlife’s top artistes in Africa. Since his emergence in the music industry, the singer has won several awards. His impressive body of work also features A-list Artistes in Africa.
