Watch: Netflix Releases Trailer for ‘Malcolm & Marie’

American streaming giant, Netflix, is set to release another emotional romantic film titled Malcolm & Marie.

A look at the first trailer released on Friday sees couple- Malcom, a filmmaker played by John David Washington and his girlfriend Marie (Zendaya) experiencing different shades of emotions as they confront the nature of their relationship.

“It’s not until you’re about to lose someone that you finally pay attention,” Marie says at one point.

The less than three-minute visuals is shot entirely in black and white. 

Meanwhile Netflix is planning for an Academy Award campaign for the forthcoming film which it acquired during the virtual Toronto International Film Festival for $30 million.

The movie was written and filmed during the coronavirus pandemic. It is set entirely in one location which allowed the production to maintain COVID-19 safety protocols.

Malcom & Marie scheduled for release on February 5 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below.
