Nigerian recording artiste, Temilade Openiyi, who is better known as Tems, has stated that she no longer believes in love.
According to the Grammy Award winner, in a recent interview with media personality Korty EO, many men today are driven only by physical motives.
Expressing frustration with modern dating, Tems suggests that many men are not genuinely interested in emotional connection and that their intentions are purely surface-level, physical.

She said, “I don’t fall in love anymore because a lot of these men just want to penetrate.”
Recall, Tems recounted how she was initially rejected in the music industry.
The singer disclosed that she was initially booed off stage, and bottles were also thrown at her because most people didn’t buy into her style of music.

Speaking in an interview with Big Boy TV, the Crazy Tings crooner shared that she wasn’t only booed but was also harassed with plastic bottles.

“I remember one time I was going to perform at my school as an up-and-coming singer and I thought I was going to receive a standing ovation.
“But I got booed. They even threw plastic bottles at me,” she recalled.
Tems explained that despite the embarrassing incident and other such rejections, she remained determined to pursue a career in music.
She admitted that some of the initial rejections she faced could be due to her conviction to stay true to her originality rather than doing covers or familiar sounds, like most of her peers.
The Grammy-winning singer said looking back now, she is glad that she didn’t compromise her style despite the initial pressures.
