Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has candidly opened up about her personality in relationships, admitting she tends to be “extreme” when it comes to love and human connections.
The award-winning actress made this known during a recent interview with media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown, where she was asked about her intense approach to friendships.
Afolabi -Brown noted that Akindele appears to either love deeply or completely cut people off when things go wrong, prompting the actress to reflect on the experiences that shaped her outlook.

In her response, Akindele acknowledged the observation, stating that she is not entirely proud of that side of herself. Akindele explained that she has come to realise the importance of balance in relationships and is actively working towards improving.

“I must say I’m not proud of that. There must be a balance. I thank God for someone like Uzee Usman in my life. He sat me down and said, ‘You’re a leader, you go dey accept people as them be; no be every door you go dey close,” she said.
Akindele further described herself as someone who loves deeply and values authenticity, while also admitting to being tough and, at times, troublesome. She emphasised that human relationships are very important to her and that she is continuously learning.
