Nigerian reality TV star and actor Saga Adeolu has opened up about the realities of filming romantic scenes, revealing that on-screen kissing is far from as glamorous as it appears to viewers.
Speaking candidly about his experiences in the film industry, the former Big Brother Naija housemate described the kissing scenes as awkward and uncomfortable.
According to him, what audiences often perceive as chemistry is, in reality, a highly technical and sometimes unpleasant process.
“Kissing in films isn’t easy; kissing another actor is weird,” he said, adding that he has rarely had what he would consider a “good” onscreen kissing experience.

Saga further explained that the act can feel invasive, noting that such scenes often involve close physical contact that can be difficult to navigate professionally.
“You have people invading your mouth with saliva. People should clap for us when we kiss in a film,” he added.

Howvever, Saga’s revelation sheds light on the less-discussed aspects of acting, where performers must balance personal comfort with delivering convincing performances. Despite the challenges, he continues to build his career in Nollywood, gaining recognition for his versatility and commitment to his craft.
