WWE John Cena Takes Star Role as ‘Fast and Furious 9’ Trailer Arrives

Fast and Furious, an American media franchise centered on series of action films, has released the official trailer for its ninth series of the movie.

The company, on Friday released official trailer of the series with a new wave of character posters including the mysterious character portrayed by WWE legend John Cena.

The less than four minutes visuals, which started on a suspense-laden note, saw Vin Diesel and John Cena engaging in a must win duel.

Although, the plot of the upcoming film is entirely shrouded in secrecy and there has been little clue as to who Cena will play other than the fact he’s going to be a badass.

Now we know he is a serious looking man in  a t-shirt who looks a lot like John Cena, so we are still very much in the dark.

The former wrestler has made the move into Hollywood in recent years, taking on major roles in movies including Transformer, Playing with Fire and comedy Blockers

Also, his addition to Fast and Furious family will definitely mark his biggest movie gig to date, along with his upcoming role in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad

The franchise has definitely felt very different following the demise of series star Paul Walker, but with so much money to be made, the show must go on.

The movie featured several movie stars including Diesel, Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Theron, Tyrese Gibson, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel,m Sung Kang and Helen Mirren.

The film was directed by Justin Lin and written by Daniel Casey. Fast and Furious, which focuses on illegal street racing, heists and spies, is expected to hit cinemas on May 22.
