Yemi Adenuga, wife of Veteran Yoruba Actor, Deji Adenuga has become the first black woman elected into county council in Ireland
Her husband, Deji Adenuga, in high spirits shared a video on his social media page in which his wife, Yemi, and some family and friends were filmed as they fell on their knees in worship to God, following her outstanding achievement
On one of the posts, the actor noted that only God is to be worshipped forever. With the announcement of his wife as winner, Deji Adenuga excitedly lifted up his wife, as other well-wishers in the room jubilated.
Speaking on her latest feat to the Irish Examiner, the newly elected official commented; “I’m delighted to be declared the first migrant Councillor in Meath and I’m really looking forward to working with the council on issues that affect the people in the town and county. This is a victory not just for me but for all women and ethnic minorities.”
