‘You Are A Good Guy’ -Eedris Abdulkareem To Davido

VETERAN rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem has made a U-turn on the comment he made about singer Davido, some years ago.

Recall that in 2015, Abdulkareem slammed Davido, accusing the latter of corrupting Nigerian youths, after releasing the video of his 2015 hit song, Fans Mi, in which he features an American Rapper, Meek Mill.

In his reaction to the Fans Mi video, during an interview on HipTV, THE Jaga Jaga singer warned Davido to stay off drugs before he becomes a goat, using the late Majek Fashek as a reference.

Fast-forward to 2020, Abdulkareem admitted that he oncehad a misunderstandings with Davido in the past, but he is taking his words back.

In a recently-held interview, he tagged Davido as a blessing to “this generation”.

His words; “Davido, for this new generation, na you be the Odogwu wey I know. I’ve had misunderstandings with you in the past because you disrespected Dele Momodu.

“I might have said some things about you that, I shouldn’t have said. I will tell you that I take them back. You are a good guy. Davido, God bless you…”

While heaping praises on Davido for showing love to dancehall singer Madrina (formerly Cynthia Morgan), he then took a swipe at Burna Boy who was recently in the news over a supremacy controversy with Davido

“You never be Odogwu. Learn to not let it get to your head…. Davido has added value to a lot of people’s lives in this internet generation,” Abdulkareem blasted Burna Boy.

What is your take on Abdulkareem’s statements?
