Nollywood actress and media personality Nancy Isime has spoken candidly about the physical sacrifices actors often make to bring their characters to life, revealing that she once deliberately gained weight for a film role.
The actress shared her thoughts while discussing the demands of acting and the level of commitment required to portray different characters convincingly on screen.

According to Isime, an actor’s body is often a tool of the profession, and performers must sometimes make significant adjustments to meet the requirements of a role.
Reflecting on her experiences in the industry, she explained that actors cannot always prioritise their personal preferences when preparing for a project. Instead, they must focus on what best serves the character and the story being told.
