Nigerian rapper, Zlatan Ibile, has criticised leaders of the country for being apathetic towards the struggles and impoverishment of their citizens.
He lamented that due to the lack of government action, the Nigerian society was now adjusting to hardship as the norm.
Zlatan expressed serious concerns about the hardship in Nigeria while addressing British rapper Dave’s satire of Nigeria’s flamboyant clubbers and the impoverished beggars outside the club, in a recent interview with Madame Joyce in the UK.

“We are used to it [suffering and smiling], that’s how it has always been, and the government isn’t doing anything about it,” he lamented.
The rapper added that regrettably, some of the beggars in the country have made begging their career and have refused to go into productive ventures despite receiving alms from generous Nigerians, including artists, daily.
He also lamented about the entitlement of some of the beggars, describing it as “annoying.”
Zlatan urged street beggars to engage in productive and dignified ventures as a lasting solution to their financial struggles.
