Actress Halima Abubakar Welcomes Baby Number One
Halima Abubakar, Nigerian actress is the latest celebrity mother in town as she has just welcomed her first child- A boy.
The actress shared the happy news about her baby boy’s birth with fans this morning. Abubakar,34, described her baby as a gift from God. According to her, she welcomed the newborn on the 3rd of April, 2020.
She wrote on Instagram:
“A gift from God And I will cherish you for life 😩❤️❤️❤️Biggest miracle ❤️A Boy🙏🏻 3/4/20”
The actress first hinted about being pregnant back in November 2019 when she said she that was expecting a “Lil Minnie” and can’t wait for motherhood.
She wrote at the time:
“Smile of gratitude and am expecting a Lil Minnie😍motherhood#wcwalways❤.”
While the newborn’s name is yet to be announced, the actress did reveal one detail about her baby daddy.
In 2017, she gave fans a scare when rumours surfaced that she was battling cancer.
The actress reassured her fans that there was no cause for alarm over her health status. She also denied rumours that she was battling cancer and asked her fans not to contribute money on her behalf. Abubakar had suffered complications from a fibroid operation she underwent in India in April that year.
A descent of Kogi state born in Kano, she began her journey in Nollywood in 2001 when she played a minor role in Rejected. Her first lead role was in Gangster Paradise.
In 2011, she won the Afro Hollywood Best Actress award.
The graduate of Sociology from Bayero University, Kano is also the CEO of a Modehouse Entertainment; a music label and entertainment management company.
