Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has broken her silence on the renewed tension between her colleagues Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, setting the record straight after being dragged into the controversy by online critics.
In a detailed statement, Ojo addressed critics who have been attacking her, saying this would be the “first and last time” she would speak on the matter.
Ojo explained that while she and Akindele have enjoyed a long-standing friendship, they have also had their share of disagreements. She admitted that one of those moments was when she publicly confronted Akindele in defence of Abraham’s movie, a move she now acknowledges was mishandled. According to her, both actresses later resolved their issues privately and agreed to move forward peacefully.

She revealed that she played a major role in reconciling the two actresses, which the finally did. They also agreed that if any conflict arose in the future, “no one was to shade online” and all issues would be settled off-camera.

However, trouble reemerged in December when Toyin raised concerns about alleged sabotage against her movie in cinemas. Some fans pointed fingers at Funke, reigniting fresh speculation and sparking a new wave of conflict between both actresses.
Ojo expressed disappointment over the ongoing drama, emphasizing that “the sky is big enough for all” and that she no longer wishes to be dragged into further disputes. She appealed to fans to respect her decision to step back, saying, “At this point, I can’t beg anyone anymore.”
Despite the controversies, Ojo reaffirmed her love for both actresses and shifted focus back to her film, announcing that The Return of Arinzo will premiere nationwide on April 3.
