BBN alumni Diane Russet set to release ‘Dear Diane’ series in Q1 2024

Dear Diane, written by Big Brother Naija alumni Diane Russet, will premiere in 2024.

Dear Diane, written by Abdul-Tijani Ahmed and Oluwatunmise Oluyede, follows the lives of two young adults who find love and companionship while separated by a phone call.

Their love story is filled with excitement on both ends, as they are linked by their passion and interest in creativity, with the boy being a musician and the girl being a painter.

Ahmed, who collaborated with Russet as the project producer, revealed the date for its debut in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Detola Jones, Shamz Andre Garuba, Riyo David, Toluwa Osewunmi, Patrick Diabuah, Obehi Aburime, Kameel Audu, and BBNaija housemate, Beauty Tukura star in the film, directed by award-winning Micheal Akinrodunde (AMA Psalmist).

The star trio of Russet, Akinrodunde, and Ahmed have been silent for two years since the release of Ricordi, which won Best Original Drama Series at this year’s African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).

The new title is expected to be a YouTube series. However, no information on the number of episodes to expect has been released.
