BBNaija: A List of Disqualified Housemates

There are two ways to leave the Big Brother House. The first, and most popular, is to get evicted due to a lack of votes from viewers and nominations from fellow housemates. The second and more scandalous way of leaving the BBNaija house is getting disqualified.

With many house rules in place, one would think housemates would do all they can to stay in the running for the big prize. However, being in a house with so many different characters is not without its own unique set of challenges. Tensions rise one way or the other.

So without further ado, here are the housemates that have been disqualified from BBNaija.

1. Kemen (Season 2)

Kemen got disqualified in the 2nd season of BBNaija (See Gobe) of BBNaija, which came 11 years after the first season. The fitness fanatic was kicked out of the house after he sexually assaulted fellow housemate, T Boss, while she was asleep.

Kemen’s actions and disqualification stirred up controversy and started a conversation around consent and what qualifies as sexual assault.

2. Khloe and K Brule (Season 3)

Khloe was one of the housemates in the 3rd season (Double Wahala) of BBNaija; it turned out that her pairing with fellow housemate K Brule would prove to reflect the season’s theme.

Khloe went on to receive several strikes particularly for her use of strongly abusive language, which was undoubtedly very offensive to many. And partly as a result of her behaviour, Khloe and her strategic partner K Brule; who also used strong and threatening language, were disqualified.

3. Tacha

Tacha was a major contender in the 4th season (Pepper Dem) of BBNaija. But many of her fans believed that she was villainized from the start of the show. Tacha Ekide became the subject of many controversies and conversation in and out of the house.

Unfortunately, even her strong fanbase couldn’t save her when she let her anger get the better of her multiple times. Tacha was disqualified after a violent altercation with the eventual winner, Mercy Eke.

4. Erica

Erica is the latest addition to this list. The actress got the boot from the ongoing 5th season (Lockdown) of BBNaija after she got her third and final strike for verbally abusing fellow housemate Laycon and disrespecting the HOH lounge.

Like Tacha, Erica was considered to be a strong contender for the BBNaija grand prize and many argue that while her reaction was a bit overboard, it was justifiable by the rumours she heard about herself from Ebuka.

Outside the BBNaija house, Erica attributed some of her strikes to Kiddwaya, with whom she had a romantic relationship in the house.
