Nigerian content creator, Abisoye Olukoya Michael, who is better known as Oyemykke, has stated that Grammy award winner, Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, is the greatest Afrobeats musician of all time.
Oyemykke made this declaration following Burna Boy’s performance alongside Colombian songstress Shakira in the grand finale of the recently concluded FIFA World Cup competition on Sunday, July 19.

In a video that he shared on his Instagram page earlier today, Oyemykke mentioned that Burna Boy has no competition and he is the number one musician in modern Afrobeats history. He will go on to mention that globally, Burna Boy is more relevant than his contemporaries, and he has been able to become a marquee name on the world stage.

Further, Oyemykke stated that the other elements that make Burna Boy a mainstay on the global scene are the impressive streaming numbers he has amassed over the years, and also, most recently, on the song ‘Dia dia’ featuring Shakira.
In the concluding part of the video, Oyemykke would add that only Tems comes close to Burna Boy in terms of relevance on the global stage. He mentioned that he would leave the third spot for his viewers to judge and decide who should fill it.
