Cross reveals he’s dyslexic following fight with Nini #BBNaija

Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Cross has revealed that he suffers from dyslexia.

Following a heated argument with fellow housemate Nini, Cross opened up to Angel about his dyslexic status.

The 31-year-old said, “I’m not crying because of what she said to me, though it hurts me. I’m crying because you said I’m not all of these things she said.”

“I don’t like how I’m feeling, I’m messed up right now. I know a lot of people are smarter than me, I have dyslexia.

Nine out of ten people are smarter than me academically. I’m 31-year-old and most part of my life I tried as much as possible to get by academically. I didn’t know I was dyslexic till my cousin pointed it out and it’s sad to see that part of me, but that’s life.”

The argument between Cross and Nini started over cleaning the bathroom. It went up a notch after Cross called her “stupid” and she retorted with comments about him being dumb and having a pea-sized brain.

Cross later decided to acknowledge his mistakes and he apologized to Nini.

Dyslexia is a pretty common learning disorder characterised by having difficulty reading. It’s the most common learning disability and occurs all over the world.

People with dyslexia can have difficulties spelling words, reading quickly, writing words, “sounding out” words in their head, pronouncing words when reading aloud and understanding what one reads.
