Nigerian music superstar David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about one of his deepest fears as an artiste, revealing that he worries about not recognising the right moment to step away from music.
The award-winning singer made the candid admission while reflecting on the realities of fame, legacy and public perception, despite years of success in the entertainment industry.
According to Davido, his concern is not about losing popularity or relevance but about overstaying his time in the spotlight and failing to know when it is appropriate to bow out gracefully.
Drawing a comparison with football icon Cristiano Ronaldo, whom he described as a good friend, the singer pointed to the criticism and ridicule the Portuguese star faced during and after his World Cup campaign despite his remarkable achievements in football.

Davido noted that Ronaldo’s experience served as a reminder that public admiration can quickly change, regardless of how much an individual has contributed to their profession over the years.
