
Afrobeats singer Davido captivated audiences during the official kick-off concert for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Rabat, Morocco.
The historic event, which took place at the Olm Souissi Fan Zone hours before the tournament began on Sunday, December 21 saw Davido perform some of his hit tracks including early hits such as ‘Aye’ and ‘Fall,’ as well as popular tracks like ‘If,’ ‘Unavailable’ and ‘With You.’
The concert featured several artists from across the continent and beyond. Davido shared the stage with Moroccan-American rapper French Montana, Comorian singer Says’Z, and Moroccan performers Douaa Lahyaoui and Lartiste.

This performance formed part of the official opening activities for the Africa Cup of Nations, hosted by Morocco. The tournament will span several weeks and will feature 24 national teams competing for the continental championship.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been placed in Group C and are scheduled to begin their campaign against Tanzania on December 23.
Davido gained prominence in 2012 with the release of ‘Dami Duro.’ Since then, he has released several albums, including A Good Time, A Better Time, Timeless, and 5ive, and operates his own record label, Davido Music Worldwide.
