#EndSARS: Kanye West Charges Buhari to Answer Nigerians

American rapper, Kanye West has charged President Muhammadu Buhari to answer Nigerians on the need to end police brutality in the West African country.

In a tweet directed to Nigerians, the billionaire lyricist stated that the president must listen to the cries of those who elected him into the public office.

His tweet read: “I stand with my Nigerian brothers and sisters to end police brutality, the government must answer to the peoples’ cries #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria.”

With his reaction to the ongoing #EndSARS protest, West joined the list of international celebrities that have added their voices to the lingering police brutality in Nigeria.

Recall that on Sunday, October 11, 2020, Canadian rapper, Drake took to his Instagram stories, where he re-shared called on Nigerians in the UK to join an #EndSARS protest at the Nigeria High Commission in London.

Aside from Drake, other international celebrities who have called for the end of extra-judicial killings, wanton arrests and dispossession of properties through physical assault and other intimidation tactics against Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a notorious department of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), includeTrey SongzDrake, and Lil Baby.
