Reality television star and entrepreneur Mercy Eke has stirred conversations online after revealing that she would willingly give up her fame in exchange for $2 billion.
The former Big Brother Naija winner made this known during a candid remark in which she reflected on the relationship between fame and financial success. According to Eke, popularity alone holds little value if it is not backed by substantial wealth.

Eke explained that she would have no hesitation in selling off her social media presence to a willing buyer if the price was right, emphasising that financial security ultimately outweighs public recognition.
“I would trade my fame for $2 billion. I’d sell all my social media to the buyer. What do I need fame for? Fame without money is nothing,” she said.

Eke’s comments have since sparked debate among fans and industry observers, with some agreeing that wealth provides stability and long-term security, while others argue that fame can be leveraged to generate significant income and opportunities.
