A fresh wave of drama has engulfed BBNaija All Stars winner Josephina “Phyna” Otabor and activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), as the two trade explosive accusations of betrayal and sexual demands.
The conflict erupted following the tragic death of Phyna’s sister, Ruth Otabor, in August 2025 after a Dangote truck accident near Auchi Polytechnic. Phyna had reportedly reached out to VDM for public advocacy to secure justice and compensation from the company. Their alliance reportedly collapsed when Phyna rejected VDM’s alleged sexual advances.
In emotional videos and posts, a tearful Phyna claimed VDM had previously blocked her, only to unblock her later to send suggestive late-night messages during her period of grief.
She shared alleged WhatsApp screenshots detailing “bedroom” proposals, claiming his support became conditional on sexual favours. Phyna described him as manipulative and accused him of publicly turning against her after being rejected.

VDM responded swiftly in a video, denying any wrongdoing and insisting some of the leaked chats were AI-generated fakes flagged by Instagram. He accused Phyna of betrayal, particularly for sidelining him in meetings with Dangote representatives, and questioned her financial expectations.
VDM maintained that both are adults and emphasised that he offered support without conditions.
The back-and-forth has divided netizens, with supporters on both sides weighing in on issues of empathy, consent, and online evidence.
As more screenshots and videos continue to surface, netizens are closely watching the outcome of the saga, which will lead to court hearings and compensation.
