Leaked phone conversation between Alex and Fancy reveals more secrets
Popular Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo and his ex-fiancée Fancy Acholonu have been in the news over their messy breakup which has thrown up secrets of the now-ended relationship.
Over a year after their broken engagement, Fancy, a Nigerian-American model and entrepreneur made a public apology to Alex Ekubo asking that they continue as lovers.
In a now-deleted post shared via Instagram, Fancy apologized for the hurt she caused the fine boy Nollywood actor and his family affirming that her heart still belonged to him.
She wrote, “Like our shirt says, Nothing makes sense when we’re apart @alexxekubo you still have my heart. I miss you, I love you, and I’m truly sorry for all the hurt & pain you and your family went through with our break up.
“My actions in how I handled things was out of my character. I should have controlled my emotions and not been so over reactive. I said too much, I did too much. Please forgive me, I’ve learned my lesson on how to handle situations better.
“I haven’t expressed myself properly. I’m not afraid to be vulnerable and say you, your family, & friends still mean the world to me. Losing you has felt like grief. Love heals #FalexxForever.”
In response to the apology, Alex said he appreciated the gesture.
“I appreciate the apology. May God bless us all,” he wrote.
After seeing videos of the two spending time together during the Christmas holidays, Netizens hoped things would have taken a different turn and that perhaps the wedding bells would ring again.
Few days after, the Nigerian-American model revealed that the actor convinced her to apologise publicly. She stated this when responding to a curious follower on her Instagram post.
The IG user asked if the apology was initiated by the actor. “Did Alex convince u to make that apology post? I saw something on the blogs. If he did. Sis that is extremely manipulative you should run for your life he only wanted to use for revenge,” the user wrote.
In response to the comment, Fancy wrote “Yes he did. It’s true. I fell for it. My eyes are now fully open. I’m at peace & now have full understanding.”
She further revealed her intimate state in the relationship in an interview with famous blogger Stella Dimoko-Korkus.
The 29-year-old model claimed she and Alex did not have sex for the five years they dated.
She said, “He didn’t want to be with me intimately, which was confusing and difficult for me to understand, especially for five years, so it did affect my self-esteem as I kept myself for him”.
Fancy’s statement seemed to have justified the speculations on Alex’s sexuality as Netizens asked questions like “ Is Alex Ekubo Gay?” …
Although there was no explicit response to the question bordered on her ex-lover’s sexual preference, Fancy said “I can’t confirm or deny his sexuality, but for me, I loved him despite everything, and he still found ways to hurt me. And when he would cheat with curvy women, he wouldn’t perform with them either, so I don’t know”.
“His sexuality is not the reason I broke up with him. I’m very open-minded, so regardless of his preference, love is love for me. I loved him for his personality and heart, nothing more”.
A private phone conversation between the former lover birds has now been leaked confirming some of Fancy’s claims.
In the audio recording, Alex admitted he was aware of the apology post and approved of it before it was published by Fancy.
However, he insisted he would not post about the apology on his Instagram account but would leave a comment underneath her post.
They argued during the conversation, with Alex asking Fancy if she needed time to think.
“So, I ask you again, if you need time out to go and think about it, go and think. You’re a human being, you have a brain, you can think and process.”
“Alex, are you happy with the post?” Fancy response.
“Fancy, please, I don’t want back and forth,” he replied.
