May Yul-Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie, has filed a ₦1.5 billion lawsuit at the Lagos State High Court against Yinka Omolola Theisen, her former lawyer Emeka Ugwuonye, and several others.
The case centres on claims of cyberbullying, defamation, and online harassment. May says she has faced years of targeted attacks on social media.
In a 126-paragraph affidavit, she detailed how false accusations, manipulated photographs, insulting caricatures, AI-generated images, and death wishes were used to damage her reputation and dignity. She noted that the attacks continued even after legal notices were served in 2025.

May also alleges that her former lawyer disclosed confidential information shared during their professional relationship and published misleading materials.
She is seeking ₦1 billion in damages from Ugwuonye and ₦500 million from Theisen. The suit further asks the court to order social media platforms to remove the offending content and reveal the identities of anonymous account operators.
Justice Abdul-Raheem Tejumade Muyideen has directed that all known contact channels be used to serve court documents. The matter has been adjourned for a service report.
