Nollywood Actress Funke Akindele Loses Father

Nigerian producer and star of “Jenifa’s Diary” Funke Akindele announced today that her father has passed away. She announced his death this morning via her Instagram account.

The 42-year-old actress revealed that her father had been ill for a while before his death. Mr Akindele was a retired school principal.

Following the post, her fellow Nollywood celebrities have sent in their condolences. On her Instagram page, Monalisa Chinda-Coker, Lala Akindoju, Fathia Williams, and Waje among others consoled her.

We wish her the fortitude to bear this loss.
