Rotimi Salami, the Nigerian actor, has taken to social media to express worry over filmmaker Belinda Onyinye’s troubling post on social media.
Onyinye’s had shared a message urging her fans, followers and colleagues not to ask about her, saying she wanted to be gone.
“Nobody should ask of me.
I just want to be gone”, she wrote.
Reacting, the Yoruba actor asked if anyone knew her location or who lived close to her. He said he tried to reach her, but her phone was switched off.

He further urged anyone close to the filmmaker to check on her and expressed his concern.
“Does anyone know who lives with @thespian_belinda or lives close to her? She posted this just now, and I tried calling her number immediately, but it’s switched off.
“Is there anyone who can help check on her? I am worried… plus the last 2 posts on her page are suggestive.
Let’s share any info on her, please”.
Other colleagues also reacted.
Faithia Williams wrote, “Haa. Phone off key? Allah will be with her”.
Olayinka Solomon wrote, “Her number is off”.
Adewunmi Fatai added, “She has turned off her phone”.
A month ago, Rotimi had expressed gratitude after surviving a health scare. The actor shared a post from a hospital bed, saying he made it through 48 hours because God said yes.
In a separate interview, he also spoke about the death of his colleague and friend, Allwell Ademola. According to him, the incident showed that cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, even those who take their health seriously. He noted that the actress, who had asthma, was careful about her condition.
