Nigerian music executive, Ubi Franklin, has shared his opinion on the relationship between Afrobeats superstars, Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy, who are popularly referred to as the “Big 3” in the music industry.
Franklin, who spoke during a recent episode of the Afropolitan podcast, said it will not be easy for the three artistes to collaborate on a project.

According to him, their positions as the leading figures in Afrobeats already place them in a space of rivalry rather than friendship.
The talent manager, however, clarified that the rivalry between Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy is not personal but mainly about their craft and how they are perceived by fans and the public.
Speaking further, Franklin revealed that despite the heavy rivalry pushed by fans on social media, he has never heard Davido, who he manages closely, say anything bad about either Wizkid or Burna Boy. He added that he believes the same level of respect exists among all three stars.
“It would be difficult for Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy to come together. I will speak for Davido, I have never heard him for once say something bad about Wizkid or Burna Boy. And I’m sure it’s the same for them too. But the industry they are in makes it difficult for them to work together,” he said.
