TROY Sneed, a United States’ gospel music star, has died from coronavirus complications. He died on Monday, April 27, 2020.
Announcing his demise, the singer’s publicist, Bill Carpenter disclosed that Sneed who earned a Grammy nomination for his work on the Youth For Christ’s 1999 album, Higher, died at a hospital in Jacksonville, a city in Florida.
Also confirming his death, Sneed’s friend and radio personality, KD Bowe, in a tribute to him said, “it’s hard to believe that he is gone. I don’t know how to make sense of this. I’m not ok, man. COVID-19 sucks. Please you all should pray for Emily & the kids. RIP, King. Or walk around it all day. RIP Troy Sneed.”
As a solo artiste, Sneed released seven albums and had several hit songs, including Work It Out and My Heart Says Yes, which both peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s gospel chart. He’s also known for the upbeat Hallelujah.
Sneed and his wife, Emily, started their own record label Emtro, which is a blend of their first names.
