Vin Diesel asks Dwayne Johnson to return for Fast and Furious 10

Vin Diesel, or Dominic Toretto, the name Fast and Furious fans have come to know him by has extended the proverbial olive branch to costar, Dwayne Johnson.

The two stars have been in a public feud since clashing on the set of 2017’s The Fate of the Furious. Johnson’s character, Luke Hobbs would go on to star in his own spinoff movie alongside Jason Statham’s character, Deckard Shaw titled Fast & Furious PresentsHobbs & Shaw. Making the 2017 movie the last time Johnson and Diesel shared the screen.

It looks like Vin Diesel is now ready for the rumored rift to end. In an Instagram post directed to Johnson, he wrote

“My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes… but the time has come. Legacy awaits.”

He also mentions a promise he claims to have made to the their late costar, Paul Walker. He continued,

“I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo [Paul Walker]. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10, I say this out of love… but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny.”

Dwayne Johnson joined the franchise in 2011’s Fast Five as Agent Luke Hobbs. He went on to reprise the role in Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7 and The Fate of the Furious. Vin Diesel on the other hand has been a mainstay in the Fast and Furious franchise since the first movie in 2001.
