Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia has firmly shut down swirling rumors that she and her ex-husband, 2Face Idibia, have reconciled.
The speculation ignited after an old video of the former couple vibing at a nightclub resurfaced on social media last week. Many interpreted the throwback clip as evidence of a romantic reunion, with some even claiming the pair were expecting a third child.
This morning, Annie took to her Instagram Stories to set the record straight. In a post that quickly gained attention, she wrote: “Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere!!!” accompanied by two facepalm emojis.

The actress’s clear message has helped calm the rumour mill. Annie and 2Face, who share two daughters, announced the end of their marriage in January 2025 after more than a decade together. Since the split, 2Face has moved on with politician Natasha Osaworu.
The incident highlights how easily old content can be weaponised to create false narratives in the age of social media.
The former couple continues to co-parent their daughters while living separate lives.
Recall that 2Baba’s brother Charles Idibia publicly accused Natasha Osaworu of manipulating and controlling his brother. Charles claimed Natasha isolated 2Baba from family and friends, gained unauthorised access to his phone, controlled his social media, and was impersonating him online.
