Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko is counting her losses after her first sports bet turned into an expensive nightmare.
Following Spain’s 1-0 victory over Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, the popular movie star took to Instagram to pour out her heart. In an emotional post, Etiko revealed she staked N5 million on the match, only to lose everything.
“First time betting and I lost 💔😭. Will never try it again. My 5M gone 💔😭. In fact, I’m done watching football. Anxiety almost killed me,” she wrote.
The high-stakes wager reportedly left the actress overwhelmed with tension throughout the game. What was meant to be exciting quickly became unbearable as the final whistle confirmed her heavy loss.
