Wizkid sells out O2 arena for London concert in 12 minutes
Wizkid, a Nigerian Grammy award winning superstar, has just announced his upcoming concert in London is sold out.
The impressive feat is that the concert, set for Sunday, November 28, 2021 was sold out in 12 minutes.
Wizkid made the announcement via his verified Instagram account. He wrote, “Sold out the O2 in 12 mins. Love you London”

Wizkid’s one day London show will be a part of The O2’s Welcome Back Show series. The Essence crooner will perform his Made In Lagos show to a full capacity crowd. The O2 is a 20,000 capacity venue.
This performance would follow a string of US dates as the artist had earlier announced a Made in Lagos North American tour. The tour will hold across the United States throughout September and October 2021.

This isn’t the first time Wizkid is filling up the O2 arena. Back in October 2019, he became the first African artiste to sell out the famous London venue for Starboy Fest .
Since releasing Made in Lagos last year, his fourth studio album, it’s been achievement after achievement for the Surulere-bred artiste.
Within one week of the album’s release, Made in Lagos broke several African streaming records. It also became the first African album to debut on the Spotify Global Album chart, debuting within the top ten. Furthermore, the album surpassed 100 million streams across five platforms nine days after it was released, a rare milestone for Afro-pop artists.
Wizkid is currently the most-streamed Nigerian artist of all time on Spotify, with over 3.4 billion streams.
Essence, a song off the Made in Lagos album featuring rising Nigerian singer, Tems is the first Nigerian song in history to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Global 200.
