Ye’s Choir Covers Adele’s ‘Easy on Me’ Dedicated to Virgil Abloh

American rapper, Kanye west, now known as ye held a Sunday service dedicated to his longtime creative director, Virgil Abloh, who passed on Sunday. During the service, a choir assembled and covered Adele’s “Easy on Me”.

The choir performed fresh lyrics to Adele’s chart-topping lead single “Easy on Me” from her album 30. The performance was temporarily live streamed on Sunday afternoon at dondalive.com, after Ye shared the link on his Instagram Story.

In the new first verse, they sang: “I know your love flows like a river/ And I could wash myself in it forever/ I know there is hope in these waters/ But I can’t bring myself to swim/ When I am drowning in my sin.”

They reworked the chorus and sang,

“Go easy on me, father. I am still your child/ And I need a chance to/ Feel your love around.”

The screen read, “In loving memory of Virgil Abloh, the creative director of Donda.”

Abloh was also men’s artistic director of Louis Vuitton. The 41 year old passed away after a private two-year battle with cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare, aggressive form of cancer.
