‘BBNaija’ to star as a spicy homewrecker in ‘Insecure’
Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate Venita Akpofure has offered a glimpse of her character in the upcoming movie “Insecure.”
She teased her role, Amara, in a post on X and shared the official teaser.
“Insecure” is a film that explores themes of love, heartbreak, betrayal, and infidelity.
The teaser suggests that she will play a villain who disrupts the lives of a loving couple.
Written and directed by Ben Nwokike, “Insecure” follows a couple whose relationship transforms from deep love to enmity.
The teaser features Efe Iwara and Beverly Naya in lead roles.
Insecure also includes actors Ade Laoye, Demi Bawo, Michael Ejoor, Darasimi Nadi, Daniel Abua, Tope Olowoniyan, Tunbosun Aiyedehin, and Anthony Azekwoh.
Principal photography, handled by Barnabas Emordi, was completed in the first half of this year.
The film is expected to be released early next year.
The producer of “Insecure,” is also set to release a series titled “Dear Diane.”
This project explores the relationship between two individuals who connect over the phone as they pursue their passions for painting and presenting.
The cast includes Detola Jones, Shamz Andre Garuba, Riyo David, Toluwa Osewunmi, Patrick Diabuah, Obehi Aburime, Kameel Audu, and BBNaija housemate Beauty Tukura.
