Burna Boy makes history with sold-out show in Germany
Burna Boy has risen to global superstar status since first achieving international success in 2019.
He has become the first African artist to sell out the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany.
Burna Boy sold out the 17,000-person capacity on December 9, 2023, as part of his ‘I Told Them’ world tour.
The arena joins the list of several historic venues that Burna Boy has consistently sold out, making him the first African artist to do so.
Burna Boy became the first African to headline a stadium concert in the United Kingdom earlier this year, after selling out the London stadium. With his sold-out show at New York’s Citi Field, he also became the first African to sell out a stadium in the United States.
He has had another successful year in 2023, and he remains the global face of African music.
Burna Boy made history with his seventh album, ‘I Told Them,’ which became his fourth consecutive Grammy nomination.
