The Documentary boasts Emmy award winning director, Peter Kunhardt. It’ll include conversations from colleagues, friends, and critics. News, interviews and sit-downs with Obama himself are also included in the documentary.

Obama, a politician from the Democratic Party, was the first US president of colour. He served in the role from 2009 to 2017. In 2008, he won the historic election by beating John McCain and then Mitt Romney in 2012.

However, the road to the White House was not an easy one for the first American president of color. The series will trace his early days as a student, his time as a bright, young politician with a gift for rhetoric, and finally his tenure as the US president.

Barack Obama grew up in Hawaii as a biracial boy raised by his white mother from Kansas and an estranged Kenyan father. The docuseries will show how his upbringing shaped his racial identity. It’ll also help understand the complex struggles he endured while trying to appease demands from multiple people.

Each part of the upcoming docuseries will cover a pivotal part of Obama’s life.

The first part will be about his childhood in Hawaii, his time at Columbia University and Harvard Law School. The second covers his presidential run, exploring the turbulence and triumphs along his campaign trail. Furthermore, the final part will look at his years in the White House and also the hurdles he faced.
