Teseer Waya, the reality TV star and billionaire heir popularly known as Kiddwaya, recently revealed a surprising gift from his mother, an Irish passport.
He shared a photo on 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Best thing my mum did for me,” stirring discussion online.
One social media user questioned the involvement of his mother at his age:
“So, as big as you are, your mom still does this for you?”
Kiddwaya responded pointedly, highlighting broader systemic failings:
“Your government is not doing for you. Parents are not doing for you. Your friends are not doing for you. You yourself are not doing it for you. E remain God and so far we cannot see those blessings.”

His answer sparked diverse reactions, some praised his honesty, while others raised eyebrows at his wealth and privileges.
Kiddwaya recently came under intense scrutiny after launching a campaign through his Kiddwaya Foundation to support victims of the Benue State crisis, where over 200 lives were lost. The foundation appealed for donations to provide food, shelter, and essential aid.
However, rather than praise, his efforts were met with criticism. Nigerians on social media accused him of “performative generosity,” pointing out that given his financial status, he’s known for lavish gestures like gifting $30,000 to a fellow ex-BBNaija housemate, he should be footing the bill himself. They questioned why he was soliciting public donations instead of using his own funds.
So far, Kiddwaya has not publicly addressed the backlash.
